The PROTIG 231 DC FV is a very compact, portable, pulsed DC TIG welding power source. Its PFC technology enables it to operate from 85 V to 265 V, delivering a very stable arc even on 100 m extension cords. For electrode welding, its pulsed MMA mode facilitates rising welds.
2 WELDING PROCESSES
– DC Standard: smooth current welding on most ferrous materials.
– DC Pulsed up to 2 kHz: controls the temperature of the molten bath, limits distortion and enables the assembly of thin sheets from 0.3 mm.
– Standard MMA: rutile and basic electrodes (up to Ø 5 mm).
– MMA Pulsed up to 500 Hz: facilitates welding in vertical upward position (pipes/pipelines, etc.).
OPTIMIZED TIG SETTINGS
– 2 types of ignition: contactless HF or contact LIFT for electro-sensitive environments.
– 3 trigger controls: 2T, 4T and 4T LOG.
